Cambium Farms Wedding

Tears welled up in Jason’s eyes as he finished reading the letter. Fifty yards away from him stood the author of the note – the person he loves the most, his bride, his Faranak, back turned facing away from him. This was a moment they both would cherish for the rest of their lives. The first look. With note in hand, and tears wiped away, Jason slowly made his way to her. Her long vail elegantly drifting in the wind. Light dancing around her as the sun reflected from her sequin-covered gown. Ten more feet. He could smell her sweet scent waft in the wind towards him, reminding him of just how much he loves her. Heart pounding and palms sweaty he grabs her hand and spins her toward him. She was the most gorgeous site he had ever seen. Her voice was sweet and her laugh mesmerizing. She pulled him close and kissed his face, wiping a tear from his cheek. He stepped back to take a full look at his soon-to-be wife, then embraced her tightly, both of their hearts beating as one. This was just the beginning.

On a perfect sunny afternoon in August, Faranak and Jason were married at an elegant outdoor ceremony in front of 140 of their friends and family. The wedding was held at Cambium Farms, nestled on 50 acres of picturesque rolling hills in Caledon, Ontario. This historic property, built in the early 1800’s, was the perfect package, offering a farmhouse where the wedding party prepared for the day, the ceremony site and a barn where the reception was held. The well-kept grounds are surrounded by pristine forest and had breath-taking views for guests to enjoy prior to the wedding. It was the perfect place to host a sophisticated outdoor wedding.

At the ceremony, the sun shone down on Jason and Faranak through tall trees, showering them with blessings and good favor on their new journey together as man and wife. Elegant floral arrangements speckled with lavender, cream and light pink roses draped with fresh Ferns and Eucalyptus, by International Florist Ltd., created a calming and romantic atmosphere for the ceremony. Rose petals garnished the plush grass aisle that Faranak gracefully strode down to meet her Jason, soothing sounds of a violin orchestrating her every step. Faranak’s two bridesmaids leading the way, and two groomsmen supportively stood by Jason’s side. Smiling faces of close friends, family member watched on as Faranak and Jason pledged their lives to one another. Hearts full, vows said, rings exchanged and a first kiss to seal the deal they were married! Faranak and Jason joyfully greeted their guests and hosted them at the Carriage House for a cocktail hour.

Around 7 p.m., laughter and elation continued to fill the air as guests made their way to the barn for the reception. Round tables with ivory linens filled the room, adorned with colorful floral centerpieces. Sunlight streamed through the rustic barn walls, creating the perfect natural light for dinner. Photos of the couple and personal details, speckled the rustic barn walls, telling the fairytale story of the couple’s journey of love. Twinkling lights strung throughout the barn’s high ceilings watched over the guests as they enjoyed a dinner catered by Cabral Catering. The most delicious-looking desserts were served, including a lovely three-tiered wedding cake detailed with large pastel-colored flowers, macaroons and an assortment of finger desserts provided by St. Phillips Bakery.

Wedding day preparation was made easy by As You Wish wedding planner, Caryn Leith. Her support, along with hair (Iirin) and make-up artist (Giancarlo) made Faranak’s big day easy, fun and memorable. Cambium Farms provided a lovely space for the bride and groom to prepare for their big day. The historic architecture and design of the property helped create fun and gorgeous photos from the wedding and preparation time.
