Inspired by Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2015 “Viva La Mama” collection, this shoot is sophisticated, chic, and embodies elegance. From the white gown to the red roses, and golden cake and crown, it screams “Royalty!” While the garments are irrefutably stunning, the emphasis in this shoot does not rest on the apparel, but on the disposition and overall styling. This shoot incorporates style and design details that mimic the romance and luxury the Italian fashion house has become known for. Italian fashion houses are indisputably the shining stars of the worldwide fashion scene, and the creators of this shoot don’t fall far behind. We tried to produce charming content with wonderful attire, accessories, decorations, and scenery alike.
The cohesiveness of every part of this project is something that we wanted to achieve. There is no denying that the combination of the outfits and accessories is traditional, yet so beautiful! The first dress is a gorgeous, graceful gown, with a ruffled, distressed tail that gives it an edge. Paired with heirloom-worthy statement jewelry, and its magic! The headpiece and necklace are the epitome of “BLING!” with various diamonds and hints of emerald stones. The following dress is equally as striking as the first, with lovely accent lace. The golden tiara, black string- like earrings, and roses in her hair really tie the look together. This shoot is fashionable and exciting, and effortlessly merges timeless old-fashioned trends with modern ones.
The choice of the venue was not random, we wanted to achieve that castle-like feel with towering heights, remarkable furniture, and regal adornment to match the style of the attire. Perhaps the most eye-catching parts of this shoot are the accent pieces used to decorate and enhance the scenery. The red rose floral presentations reiterate the rose motif in the designer’s collection — from Milan Fashion week. The table designs are exquisite. They catch your eye at first glance, and we’d say they are almost impossible to miss. The red and black fabrics on the table juxtaposed beautifully, and gave the scenery depth. The gold accented pieces brought light back into the photos, as well as a sense of nobility to the overall ambiance of the shoot. The theatrical red, gold, and black design and couture cake had us adoring this shoot, and we believe Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana would have their jaws dropped at the sight of it too! The theme in many ways showcases romance, charm, and flair. We fell for that immediately!
