Weddings are exceptionally romantic whatever the season may be. That is why Purple Tree photographers are just as thrilled as family and friends for couples who are finally getting married. Because these are special moments, we allow our creativity to just run wild in every event that we are privileged to be part of whether it’s a simple e-session or a wedding ceremony. Our quest for capturing love in still images is simply the result of being overly excited with marriage celebrations.
But it’s not just during wedding events with our clients that we get to enjoy taking wedding photos. From time to time, we get to work with different designers to inspire engaged couples with options and possibilities during their own special day. One particular theme we extremely enjoyed over the summer was a wedding design photo shoot at Verve Condo Downtown Toronto. That photography session totally kept us trigger-happy. With red lounge chairs, stainless steel centre tables, and wooden brown and grey surfaces, the venue is a sure gem for those who want an elegant and chic modern look. The combination of red and silverish steel colours coupled with a stylish contemporary design is a sure-fire way to ignite inspiration.
Since scarlet red is the colour of love, using it liberally in your wedding design indicates a passionate love affair that will surely live forever. Red was simply all over our activity. The roses, tulips, napkins, charger plates, and candle holders were literally colored with romance. Still, there was an effective contrast between these reds against silver and white embellishments which created a somewhat relaxing balance.
Even the dessert table had its own share of chic and classic with red icing-covered cookies and red velvet cupcakes all with white candy sprinkles to add to the tasteful sweetness. The wedding cake also had a similar contrast with reds, whites, and a touch of wow.
Having models to complete our make-believe celebration was just as appealing as getting real couples to share the romance as we capture moments of love. Of course, they’re dressed for the part with gorgeously intricate beadwork on a white laced bridal gown for the lady and a stunning grey suit for the gentleman. It gets better too with a matching red bridal bouquet and corsage that looks creatively avant-garde.
The mix of classic tastes, a modern twist to elegance, and the right colour palette creates endless possibilities for any design concept. If this excites you to use it on your own wedding, go ahead! Just imagine how thrilled we were seeing the finished work of modern sophistication in the context of deep reds and elegant combinations. If that doesn’t inspire romance, we don’t know what will. Honestly, photo sessions like these sometimes seem too impressive that we wish it truly was a real wedding. Love is all around! We do hope you get a sense of love and passion as you enjoy the photos.
