Timeless AGO Wedding with Rebecca and Michael
If you wanted to know what it looks like to marry your best friend, just take a glance at Rebecca and Michael’s special day. This power couple have been together for 10 years before finally tying the knot last fall. It’s no surprise that they have developed such a unique chemistry over time. They constantly make each other laugh, as if there’s no such thing as a bad joke, and you can’t help but smile along at the sight.
Rebecca looked effortlessly beautiful wearing her Peter Langner mermaid gown, which fitted her hips and gradually flared into a voluminous skirt. She wore her hair in a delicate up-do, which emphasized the deep neckline and open backside style of the dress. Revealing a bit of skin added boldness to her look without sacrificing class. Rebecca even had a feather vest to add a vogue factor to her outfit. Michael, on the other hand, was the picture perfect gentleman with his classic black tuxedo. He was nothing short of handsomely charming with his clean-cut look.
The duo looked simple yet elegant, and even more so when their style contrasted with the Art Gallery of Ontario as their venue. The AGO offers a modern space to host memorable weddings. How can you forget your special day when you get to share your first kiss as a married couple under the architecturally brilliant Frank Gehry-designed staircase?
You don’t have to be an art enthusiast to fall in love with the AGO. No matter how traditional or simple the ceremony is, the venue elevates the significance of each moment. Despite the wide-open space, watching Rebecca and Michael exchange their vows was just as intimate as any other, and brought tears to those who were lucky enough to witness it.
The cocktails were held in Galleria Italia, known for the floor to ceiling wooded frame glass windows that gives the perfect view of the busy streets of Toronto. The reception at Ballie Court had the same setting of high ceiling and windows that ran the length from the bottom up. The abundance of white blooms and foliage floral arrangements complimented the style of the venue, and provided the rustic European charm.
You can tell that everyone has been waiting for these two lovebirds to begin their married life. The energy throughout the celebration was overflowing by the end of the night. It was definitely a day filled with smiles, laughter and good spirits. Without a doubt, Rebecca and Michael’s love is the definition of forever and always.
