Toronto Wedding at Brickworks and La Moquette

Fall is probably that season we wish never ended. And why not, the nature colors are amazingly vibrant at this time with browns, yellows, and reds. The climate is just about perfect with just the right wind to keep the heat away. And there is that natural calm and relaxed atmosphere that this particular season brings to weddings. Of course, with all of these things happening at the same time, it makes it easier for us to do our job of creating beautiful images.

Fall excites us because of the many opportunities it brings. There is something about fall that makes everything feel perfect. And speaking of perfect, we are reminded of that wedding we had with Jeremy and Kathryn which happened in the middle of autumn. It was a perfect day for wedding photography.

Everything just felt right and downright creative even from the pre-ceremony preparations. The bride was having a great time with her family at their house in Stouffville, a pleasant town north east of Toronto. There were full of smiles and delightful moments to capture. You could just sense that joyful spirit of these happy folks. Even bridesmaids kept giggling. We were especially glad that Kathryn had to put on her lovely laced dress in their white living room that had nice big windows. The place gave us just the perfect quality of natural light and lots of space which was great for taking getting ready photos.
We also had an incredible time with the groom at his house near the Beaches. The place had a ton of really cool embellishments and details. There weren’t a lot of people passing by which made things more relaxed. And the outdoors was also cooperating with really nice overcast skies that gave an amazing natural soft light. There was a park right across the house which was great for outdoor portraiture. A cigar-bonding moment between the groom and his best man was a favorite of ours to capture. It was so good we simply wish everyday was this awesome.

We had a chance to take the entourage to Evergreen Brickworks right before the ceremony. It has become a popular spot for taking wedding photos after its renovation. While the place already rocked with varieties of textures and backgrounds, the willing bunch of happy people made it worth the stop. We particularly liked that the groom’s emotions really came out and you can just see and feel that happy vibe. Both of them were, in fact, really happy.

Jeremy and Kathryn had their ceremony at the patio of the La Maquette. The place had an old elegant and quiet romantic feel that was perfect for small intimate weddings. Even the reception area inside the restaurant had that same wonderful ambience. The couple’s setup with their choice of wild-flowers, details, and ornaments even added to that mood. It was a great place to celebrate and take family photos. The food was awesome too.

At the end of the day, it’s being able to capture beautiful moments that inspire us to do what we do. If Jeremy and Kathryn were happy, we were too. If we had a chance to repeat this fine wedding day, we definitely would.
