There’s no denying that warm weather gives you more options to get creative with your venue choices. Alana and Jolon wanted a relaxed wedding in Muskoka, so they chose the quaint Windermere House. The grand Victorian structure of the hotel and resort adds the romantic charm as it overlooks Lake Rosseau.
This wedding was all about the beauty in simplicity! From the delicate hair-do, to the darker eye makeup, to the elegant dress from Pronovias Atelier, Alana’s style is something we absolutely adore. The way she carries herself adds to the timeless elegance that seems to come naturally to her. It’s no surprise to us that Jolon couldn’t help but tear up when he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time.
Their ceremony was a front row seat to the view Lake Rosseau has to offer. This kind of backdrop gets magnified when everything else is kept simple – no need for grand floral arrangements and fancy chairs, the bed of petals scattered along the aisle was more than enough to set the soft ambiance.
Alana and Jolon are the type of couple that savour each moment they have with each other. After their first look, they wanted alone time to walk around the resort and to the docks. They had another special intimate moment after their ceremony, where they just hugged and held onto each other.
Though there were a lot of laughter throughout the day, the amount of tears we saw warmed our hearts just as much. When sisters, parents and friends are crying of happiness, we can’t help but feel lucky to witness along the celebration they will always remember.
