Greetings from Sasha Wedding Photographer

First of all, thanks for checking out our blog. I think it would make sense to introduce myself in the very first entry. My name is Sasha and I am 1/3 of Purple Tree Wedding Photography. If you have read the “ABOUT US” page you might already know that all 3 of us have been doing photography for quite some time now, but we all come from different areas of the industry.

Being a clubs promoter for 6 years, I started off by shooting promo material for local and international DJs, as well as covering the biggest Electronic Dance Music events in the city.

People always fascinated me! But watching people through the viewfinder, trying to understand and control their emotions, finding the right, individual approach to my clients, whether it’s a professional model or a person who has never been in front of the camera, brought it to a completely new level. Photography is not just the art of light, it’s the art of psychology as well! An hour long photo shoot can tell me more about a person than a year of living together. Wedding photography makes it extremely fun and challenging at the same time. We are limited in time, ability to control or stage our subjects. We have to work with the background AS IS and remain creative. Exciting, isn’t it? It is, but what i’m here for is to capture your dream coming true, to share it with your friends, family, and future generations!

The two shots below are probably the ones that got my name out there. I met Deadmau5 about 5 years ago, and we’ve done 3 shoots together since then.

Next picture is from last weekend. Another big name in Electronic dance music scene, Anthony Attalla, who is a good friend of mine. Great guy, talented DJ, producer and a record label owner from Chicago.
