A Romantic Shoot

We’ve had our share of wedding photo shoots both real and conceptual. We can say that we’ve truly enjoyed everything that we’ve experienced so far. It’s a great privilege for us to be able to capture the love stories of brides and grooms together with their families and friends as they celebrate the start of their new lives together. We’re also always surprised with the creativity of couples doing DIY arrangements and designers with their brilliant concepts and how they are able to stretch their imagination to create something magical. With the kind of talent we have in our Toronto community, the possibilities are simply endless.

Recently, we had the awesome chance to work on another collaborative project that we’re really happy sharing with you. We find it quite unique and inspiring and we’re very glad that we were able to participate in this project. It’s a little bit different from the usual wedding themes we normally shoot but it’s always a great thing to challenge ourselves with something new. All we can say is that we totally had a lot of fun creating the images we are about to you show you.

The concept was all about the love story of a passionate young couple. For our models, we had the opportunity to work with two talented individuals – Alayna Kellett and Tim Warmels. You may be familiar with Tim since he’s the star of the Canadian franchise of the reality TV show, The Bachelor Season 2. Hair and makeup was by Kestra Illiatovich-Goldman, who we think did a remarkable job with the couple’s looks. We are honoured to have been able to work with them in this project.

Our photos will show you a timeline of romance between two people from the beginning of their relationship and how it progressed into something passionate and beautiful. The story begins with the handsome Tim making his way to meet the lovely Layna at her home. He gives a fresh long-stem yellow rose to the lady with the gorgeous red locks. We thought that using the yellow flower was an excellent iconic choice and even loved the colour contrast it created as the couple was wearing stylish clothes with elegant neutral tones.

Since the concept involved showing the lovers enjoying different activities, we were able to create photos of different moments that the two sweethearts shared. The theme layouts included scenes where they were baking in the kitchen, cuddling in the bedroom, and having intimate moments in the washroom. We also had them dance in a room where the layout was gorgeous with classic paintings on the wall and old framed photos on top of a piano that made the set look elegantly charming. All of these were shot in different locations in Toronto.

We wanted to make sure that the whole story was full of emotions, something that showed a deep connection between two people. We envisioned having an image set with so much soul and romance and one that exuded a passionate ambience. I guess we could say that we’re pretty happy with how the photos came out. We’re actually even happier that this story was published in Coco Brides magazine. Hopefully you will get to appreciate and enjoy it too.
