The day began at the breathtaking Rocabella, where the Mediterranean Sea stretched endlessly beyond the cliffs. The sky was a perfect shade of blue. Maya’s details were soft and romantic—delicate pink accents, pearl embellishments, and effortless elegance.
We took full advantage of the beautiful day, capturing her getting ready outdoors as the high sun illuminated every moment. One of our favourite shots? Maya standing on the rooftop, fully embracing our vision. She trusted us completely, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Maya spent the morning with her bridesmaids, all in matching pink PJs, celebrating with laughter and champagne. Both her mom and John-Michael’s mom were by her side, making the moments even more sentimental.
Her first look with her dad was one of the most emotional moments. Before turning around, he read a heartfelt letter from Maya, letting the emotions settle in. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight. It was a moment filled with love, and yes, all of us were crying.
Meanwhile, John-Michael kicked off his day with a few rounds of Mario Kart with his groomsmen. We captured moments of him getting ready with his parents and brother, followed by fun shots with his groomsmen before the highly anticipated first look.
And what a first look it was. We chose the soon-to-be ceremony space for this special moment, allowing the stunning Santorini backdrop to frame it perfectly. Afterward, we ventured to Imerovigli for couple’s portraits. Between the vibrant bougainvillea, the white-washed buildings, and the iconic blue domes, every moment felt like it belonged in a dream. Maya, being the adventurous spirit she is, was all in for climbing rooftops and embracing every fun idea we had.
Back at the hotel, we had the most joyful bridal party session, complete with parasol umbrellas and endless laughter. Everyone’s energy made every shot feel effortless and full of life. And then, it was time for the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was nothing short of breathtaking. Blush and white floral arrangements adorned the space, the Santorini cliffs serving as the most romantic backdrop.
But it wasn’t just the setting that made it special—it was the emotions. Their vows came straight from the heart, touching every single guest. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as Maya and John-Michael promised forever to each other. Afterward, Maya and John-Michael embraced each guest, sharing heartfelt hugs, joyful tears, and so much love.
Cocktail hour was a celebration in itself. Guests kicked off their shoes, dipped their toes in the pool, and toasted with refreshing drinks. One of our favourite personal touches? Their signature cocktails are named after their beloved teacup Maltipoo, Teddy: “Mr. T. Margarita” and “Ted-spresso Martini.” It was the cutest nod to their little fur baby! (We missed you, Teddy!)
We snuck away for some golden hour portraits, capturing Maya & John-Michael against the most magical Santorini sunset. The way they held each other, soaking in the moment, was everything. It felt like the perfect encapsulation of these two: effortless, warm, and radiant.
As the sun set, the reception unfolded into an evening filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and the kind of dancing that made you forget about time (it felt like Mamma Mia!).
For us, this wedding wasn’t just about capturing a beautiful day, it was about celebrating one of our own. Maya is family to us, and we felt that love from every corner of the day. As the cameras went down, we danced alongside her, her friends, and her family, celebrating not just a wedding, but a love that felt like home.
Maya & John-Michael, we adore you. Your wedding was everything and more, and we are endlessly grateful to have been the ones to capture it. Here’s to a lifetime of love and adventure. We love you, Maya and John-Michael!
