Unique Speakeasy Wedding
at Coffee Oysters Champagne Cocktail Bar
Kami + Pawel, Parkwood Estate + Downtown Toronto

June weddings are often associated with romance, blooming flowers, and heartfelt moments. But for Kami and Pawel, their wedding was nothing short of an adventurous and cool celebration, held at the charming Parkwood Estate in Oshawa for the ceremony, followed by a hidden gem of a reception venue in Toronto, A Toi—a cocktail bar nestled within a coffee, oysters, and champagne restaurant.

From the start, the couple set the tone for a laid-back and fun affair. No getting ready photos for them; instead, they dove straight into their first look at the front of the Parkwood mansion. The bride and groom, both lovers of motorcycles, travel, and snowboarding, embraced the adventure, exploring the vast gardens and enjoying playful, candid moments during their portrait session.

The ceremony itself was small and intimate, held at the side of the Parkwood Building by the staircase. Adding to the charm were some adorable doggie guests, making the event even more memorable.

The adventure continued as the couple, with their love for exploration evident, drove all the way to Toronto for the reception at the exclusive A Toi. Tucked away in the Entertainment District’s newest hotspot, Coffee, Oysters, Champagne, A Toi is a hidden cocktail bar that feels like a scene from a movie. Transporting guests into a 1920s Parisian hotel lobby bar, the venue boasts an experiential atmosphere with tasteful decor, staff dressed to impress, and a menu that reflects the golden age of cocktails.

The venue provided the perfect backdrop for more bride and groom portraits. Utilizing trendy direct flash, the stunning interior design of the cocktail bar added an extra layer of sophistication to the shots.

Kami and Pawel opted for simplicity in their wedding, foregoing flowers, rentals, and a traditional sit-down dinner. Instead, their celebration centered around dancing, food stations, a dessert station, and live Jazz entertainment. The evening was a lively mix of good music, great food, and an atmosphere that exuded the carefree spirit of the couple.

As the night progressed, the highlight of the evening unfolded—a surprise that was too fun not to share. The couple, known for their love of adventure, had arranged a unique twist to their celebration. Without giving too much away, let’s just say it involved a touch of burlesque and a memorable experience for everyone present.

In the end, Kami and Pawel’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love; it was an adventurous journey through picturesque venues, playful moments, and lively entertainment. Their wedding day proved that weddings can be cool, fun, and memorable without losing the magic that makes them truly special. Cheers to the happy couple and their unforgettable day!
