It’s not hard to dream about the beautiful Amalfi Coast in the middle of the Canadian winter. We teamed up with Wassal from Petals and Pearls to brainstorm right away on how we can make this dream come alive. No doubt, we wanted to make sure we did justice to the European elegance and stunning views Amalfi has to offer and more!
The best way to get exactly what you envisioned is to start from a blank canvas. With high ceilings and a great source of natural light, District 28 served as the perfect venue to create multiple scenes we wanted. The photo backdrop by Event Graffiti and the green archs by Ooh La La Designs definitely made it feel like we were overlooking the Amalfi coast. Angelica from Simply Beautiful Décor played a huge role in piecing together the perfect details to bring this whole shoot together.
We’ll admit that it was hectic to set up the different scenes we wanted, especially since we incorporated so many details from the table scape to the ceremony set to the white Vespa. Oh and did we mention we used several models? Time was definitely our biggest challenge on set, but we’re so glad we took all the risks we did.
Speaking of time, the giant Magnolia by Engineered Arts was shipped from overseas right on schedule for the shoot! We loved playing with the height and added a ladder on the other side so we could get our models on different levels. Another giant item we had fun with was the swing. By placing the cake on the swing, you can get an idea of the size of that piece of art!
There were a lot of elements to this vision and we are so thankful for the team of vendors who jumped on board with us to make it all possible!
