Alessandra’s morning started off at her parent’s home, where she was greeted by her bridesmaids and some champagne to start the celebration. She had woken up that morning, and surprisingly, she said, “felt very calm and knew deep down that it would be the best day of their lives for she and Rory.” She slipped into her dress, a classic and elegant design from Pronovias Atelier which, paired with a set of silver sparkly Jimmy Choo heels and a gorgeous white bouquet from Covers Couture, made her look like a vision in white. Let’s just say that you probably would have wanted to be sitting down when you first saw her. And sitting down she and her bridesmaids did, on beautiful custom made furniture that her father had made specially for their morning prep and the reception. A meaningful gift like that really made the day feel more special – and certainly showed that everyone wanted to make the day as perfect as possible.
The ceremony was held at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, a beautiful space where the two were surrounded by family and friends. “I couldn’t wait to see Rory standing at the altar and for us to say our vows” said Allesandra. There was so much anticipation in the air. Some of the most beautiful details were the lush greens, earl grey roses and the silver floral stands that resembled entwined tree trunks, all created by Covers Couture. They beautifully tied nature and the changing season into the ceremony – one that was truly memorable for everyone attending. After the ceremony had finished, Alessandra and Rory were off in a white Rolls Royce for their private photo session. Their love for each other really shines through in each photograph, as well as their playfulness and ease with each other. She and Rory met by extreme chance through social media, and they tell each other that they are one another’s 1 in 7 billion. Seeing them have their time together on their special day really showed how lucky they are to have found each other.
That night at The Arlington Estate for their reception, the tables were decorated in an all white and grey colour scheme. Inspired by a soft, romantic and neutral palette, they kept things classic but with a modern feel by adding silver accents. Because it was autumn, the custom chairs made by Alessandra’s father’s company, Future Chair, were created in a grey velvet that incorporated different textures, heights, fabrics and a ton of candles around the room to give it dimension. This was the style that Alessandra felt best represented them as a couple, and it was nothing short of stunning. White roses lined the tables, and each guest was gifted with hand-painted chocolates from Succulent Chocolates which added a special touch to each plate. After dinner, their first dance was to “Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke performed by Sean Jones and The Collective Band. Dancing was a favourite part of the day for both of them. It was a very special moment, and afterwards, when their friends and family joined in, you could feel so much love in the room.
Their advice for other couples planning their wedding? “Keep the big picture in mind: there are so many decisions to make during the planning process, some easy and some more difficult. You’ll be met with challenges along the way, but ultimately the day is about YOU TWO and marrying the love of your life. It will be absolutely perfect, no matter what, WE PROMISE!” The day was absolutely magical, and we were truly beaming from seeing the love that Alessandra and Rory had for each other. We are so glad that we got to capture the special moments that will live on as memories and photographs forever.
