Stella and Leon’s journey began in the most unexpected of places – at work. Though they were on different teams, fate had other plans, bringing them together and eventually leading to a romantic proposal in the enchanting city of Venice, Italy. Leon’s proposal was straight out of a fairy tale, with the ring presented on a tasting menu plate during a special dinner. This magical moment was a precursor to the equally enchanting wedding day that followed.
The day started at the luxurious Pearl Hotel, where Stella and Leon prepared for their big day in separate suites. Stella’s suite was filled with laughter and love as she and her bridesmaids, dressed in sage green pyjamas that matched their later attire, toasted with champagne. During Stella’s heartfelt first look with her father, tears of happiness flowed as she embraced the overwhelming emotions of the day.
In Leon’s suite, the atmosphere was equally spirited. Leon showcased his cool custom jacket, which featured a galaxy theme on the inside and the words “Stella & Leon” along with their wedding date. The jacket was a testament to his unique style and the cosmic bond he shares with Stella.
One of our favorite moments to capture was Stella and Leon’s first look. By the waterfront outside the hotel, Stella gently tapped Leon’s left shoulder. As he turned around, his face lit up with the biggest smile, and he spread his arms wide to embrace his bride. The love and joy in that moment were undeniable. We took this opportunity to capture some stunning photos of the couple, with the serene water and elegant hotel as the perfect backdrop.
The ceremony took place at Spencer’s at the Waterfront, a venue known for its floor-to-ceiling water views. The space was adorned with an abundance of white roses and baby’s breath, creating a romantic and ethereal setting. As Stella and Leon exchanged their handwritten vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The ceremony was a beautiful testament to their love, filled with heartfelt moments and joyous tears.
Following the ceremony, we whisked the couple away for a few intimate shots before they joined their guests for cocktail hour. We particularly loved the Polaroid guest book idea – a fun and interactive way for guests to leave their mark on the day.
As the evening progressed, the ceremony space was transformed into a reception area where the theme of the night was fun and celebration. The reception was filled with great speeches, lively dances, and the cutest cake cutting we’ve seen. Stella, ever the practical bride, changed into adorable running shoes, ready to dance the night away.
Stella and Leon’s wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, modernity, and heartfelt emotion. We felt incredibly honored to capture their special day and to witness the love and joy that radiated from them and their loved ones.
