Creating Your Wedding Album

The most magical day of your life may be done but it doesn’t mean you have to get over it! Keep posting those photos on your Instagram with throwback hashtags and keep scrolling through your online gallery that you’ve created a tab for. We don’t blame you! Your wedding is really is something to keep coming back to, and something you would want to show future generations.

The best way to showcase and store your wedding photos is to create an album out of it! Not only does it make it easier to look through, but it’s an heirloom you can proudly display on your coffee table. There’s nothing like the tangible experience of flipping through pages of photos that visually tell a story.

Our photography packages offer options of including albums from our signature and premium collection which we can happily design with you once your photos are ready. Not sure if you want a book? No problem! We’ve had couples come back to us after two years to talk about albums. So how does it all work? Well, we invite you over to our studio once your photos are ready so you can go through our collection again just to refresh your memory, because it’s been a while since we first had you! Even if we weren’t the lucky ones to photograph your wedding, it would be our pleasure to turn those photos into a book. Come to our studio with your high resolution files and we’ll take it from there!

From cover options to the number of spreads to the thickness of the page, we’ll guide you to the right type of album that will store your wedding memories. We’re constantly updating our books to keep up with new styles and trends, to ensure that we have something you’ll love. Once you’ve found “the one”, we’ll go to the hardest but most fun part – selecting the photos! Depending on the type of album and number of pages it includes, we advise you to select a certain number of photos. As much as we would love to select all the photos for you, we genuinely don’t know which photos mean more to you than others. With such a limited selection, we want to make sure you’re choosing all the “must have” photos and we can fill in the rest. The same problem goes with overselecting – we might end up removing your favourite photos! The good news is that there is some structure and direction when it comes to what photos to select. Consider a storybook layout! When we design your albums, we look for images that work great together and tell a story of your day.

Here’s the basic structure of choosing your images:

10% Getting Ready, 30% Bride & Groom, 15% Family, 15% Bridal Party 15% Ceremony, 15% Reception.

Feel free to rearrange based on the format of your wedding day! Let us know once you’re done selecting your photos, and include the colour or photo you would like to have as your cover. Sit back and relax while we work on a pdf layout for you to approve. Once you give us a go ahead, we’ll be sending it to print! Then you can do a happy dance when you receive our email notification that your album is ready for pick up! Pretty easy right??

One more thing to think about – parent albums! Whether they helped you financially, emotionally or physically, your parents were there to make your wedding dreams come true. There’s no better way to thank them than giving them an album of their own. The process is the same, and maybe even easier if it’s just a clone of the main album!

Living in a digital age, we tend to put less thought into making our memories tangible, especially when it seems like a process. We hope that we’ve shown you how easy it can be and that we’re here to help you out every step of the way.
