Destination Wedding Photography in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The sky was a majestic that day. It was mid-afternoon, and the sun was dancing between clouds, its orange and pink hues reflecting off of the clouds, making it look like cotton candy dangling in the sky above. Tall palm trees reached for the heaves, swaying back and forth blowing in the warm salty breeze. They looked down on the wedding ceremony of Yana and Volodymyr. Elation and joy filled the air as guests watched on. Two beautiful souls, becoming one, dedicating their lives to one another, blissfully in love.

The intimate wedding, attended by approximately 25 guests, was in a beautiful garden at The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic. Plush green grass, tropical vegetation and blooming flowers surrounded the ornate white gazebo, which the couple stood under during the ceremony. Ivory tulle which hung from the gazebo danced in the light breeze as the lovely couple became man and wife.

Yana’s five bridesmaids proceeded her down the aisle, dressed in dark maroon maxi dresses, their flowy chiffon skirts and lacey tops perfectly complimented the bride’s sophisticated look. They carried a simple and beautiful bouquet of light pink flowers, its stems wrapped in ivory fabric. Volodymyr’s groomsmen sported a more casual look wearing navy slacks and long-sleeved white linen button down shirts, coordinating with the classy tropical look of the ceremony.

Yana’s breathtaking ivory veil trimmed with delicate lace, drifted in the light breeze as she walked over a wooden bridge and down the aisle to her soon-to-be-husband. The sun glistened in Yana’s gorgeous emerald-colored eyes as she promised to cherish Volodymyr for the rest of her life. The couple sweetly embraced as they were announced husband and wife, and kissed as their close family and friends cheered them on in support. At the end of the ceremony guests threw rice in the air like confetti, and toasted champagne as they celebrated the marriage of the lovely couple. It was truly a celebration, and so much fun to be a part of.

The nice warm weather and light salty breeze carried the newlyweds and their guests to an outdoor area where they and their guests enjoyed a sit-down meal. A grouping of round tables covered with embroidered ivory linens were scattered throughout the reception area, complete with ornate gold chairs, which gave the outdoor space an elegant feel. Red, pink and white roses surrounded by greenery served as the table centerpieces – gold candle holders, napkin rings, flower vases and chasers were the perfect detail that pulled the table decorations together.

The grounds of the resort were perfectly manicured, and provided a breathtaking backdrop for the day’s events. Prior to the wedding, the Yana and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in their luxury suite, taking a break for some photos in the silk robes, which the bride gifted her bridesmaids.

The tall swaying palm trees continued to look on as the newlyweds joined hands for their first dance as man and wife. Twinkling café lights shone down from above the dance floor, spotlighting the bright smiles the couple wore. They embraced one another tightly, as Volodymyr spun his bride around the dance floor, her long dress elegantly flowing to and fro. Their guests looked on with adoration, taking photos and as the reception came to a close, the sun began to set on what was a perfect wedding day in paradise for this lovely couple.
