One of the best moments in life is seeing your friends fall in love, grow in affection and adoration, and finally get married. In our case, Purple Tree Photography has witnessed how Nadia and Giordan’s relationship blossomed and flourished. It is one thing to capture and do pre-nuptials and wedding photo shoots of lovely couples, but it is a completely different thing to work on the very wedding of your co-workers and we are telling you that it was tear jerking and awe-inspiring to be there for them at the start of their new beginning.
Nadia, with her bright, flaming red hair has clearly hypnotized her man not only because of her contagious smile and constant laughter that immediately spreads to everyone like wildfire, but also because of her awesome personality that will make you like her even just after a five-minute conversation. Blessed with stunningly good looks and armed with rock star photography skills that you would envy, Nadia has Giordan completely wrapped around her fingers and he doesn’t mind!
Not to be outdone, Giordan is also a fine gem to be treasured. He is one of those people whom you will instantly trust because he is really easy to get along with. Just like his counterpart, Giordan is also a brilliant photographer. He is extremely experimental and deviant in his art so expect to be mesmerized with the results of his work.
Nadia and Giordan got hitched in Tulum, Mexico at the beautiful Ak’iin Tulum Beach. This unique and gorgeous beach club boasts of a long strip of powdery white sand surrounded by towering Palm trees. The spectacular view of the blue, Caribbean waters was the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony of Nadia and Giordan. With the help of Sarah, the onsite coordinator who was absolutely remarkable to work with, the dream wedding of our two beloved friends became a magical reality.
Nadia got ready at the Casa Carolina together with most of the bridal party. The 5-bedroom, 6-bath house was full of laughter and cheerfulness. Everybody was excited. Even Paula and Eric, the housekeepers, suddenly became part of the family. Some members of the family stayed at the Hotel Nueva Vida de Ramiro, where the groom was preparing.
The bride, with her minimalist makeup and orange tinted lips and nail polish, wore a wedding gown from Watters Bridal. Nadia’s red hair, which reminded us a lot of Ariel, from Disney’s The Little Mermaid was side-swept and ornamented with adorable little starfishes which served as her headdress. The bride wore a pair of sky-high, metallic heels that looked quite unique. It’s not every day that you see brides wearing what looks like futuristic footwear and Nadia totally rocked style. Nadia’s bridesmaids, donned in wrap dresses in different colors looked charmingly stunning in their chosen designs.
It seems like the color Orange is the couple’s favorite. Giordan looked simply dashing in his tuxedo and Orange necktie. The groom, together with his groomsmen was undoubtedly having fun while they were getting ready. They shared a few shots of tequila as a mini celebration for a more grandiose celebration later that day. They also had photo ops which showed their funny side, wearing the same pair of shoes and Orange socks.
The wedding ceremony was a very intimate one with 25 guests from both Nadia and Giordan’s closest family and friends. As the entourage walked the aisle one by one, not a single eye was dry. The wedding was nothing short of magical. The white sands and the blue waters made the scene seem surreal and dreamy. Nadia walked down the aisle together with her father, accompanied with music by the Vitamin String Quartet’s cover of Sigur Ros’ Hoppipolla. It was very emotional and heartwarming to see Nadia and Giordan finally say their vows to each other. When the newlyweds finally kissed, the guests rose to their feet to celebrate with them.
The weather rose up to almost 40 degrees that day and we were melting! But that didn’t stop anyone of us from celebrating the union of two hearts and the joining of the families together. After the main ceremony was one of the happiest moments for the whole day. Shots of tequila were downed and the guests got to keep the cute little shot glasses as souvenirs. All of the guests struck a pose as we captured their merriment. Everyone was jubilant and excited to start the night. There was non-stop dancing and partying and even Nadia’s grandmother who was already 80 years old hit the dance floor and lasted much longer than most of the guests.
After being together for six strong years, Nadia and Giordan finally tied the knot in this laidback, beach wedding that was not only full of emotions but also full of new memories to be relived in the years to come. We are glad to have shared with you the wonderful journey of two of our best photographers in Purple Tree Photography. We are excited and ecstatic to see them create new adventures as husband and wife and to witness their partnership bloom not only as newlyweds, but also as partners in the art of photography that brought the two of them closer together.
