Sometimes, the most laid-back ceremonies are also the most intimate. This was further proven by Monica and Garros’ fresh and glam modern day wedding that took place in Shangri-La Hotel Toronto.
These two are such a vibrant and cheerful pair, it’s no wonder their energy easily shone through on their wedding day! What’s more hip than having an #OhMG2018 hashtag for your wedding day? Oh, we know! Jamming to Backstreet Boys while getting ready with your groomsmen AND playing one of their songs for the first dance. That one’s hard to top, is it not?
Monica and Garros wanted a modern and fun wedding in the presence of close family and friends. A relaxed, unique and fuss-free day for everyone to have fun and enjoy the celebration of their union. Colourful, cheerful and vibrant spring wedding was the vision they had in mind, and their wedding planner Rebecca Chan greatly helped bring this to life.
This coincided with a traditional tea ceremony where they acknowledged their heritage. Along with all the play and fun, we also captured the emotional and candid moments for this special day – even if that included friends and family uncontrollably tearing up!
Monica looked like a dream in her customized Sachin & Babi wedding gown, and Garros kept smiling all throughout the ceremony. Everyone was just light, happy, and full of love – just like how Monica and Garros wanted their special day to be. They said that their favorite part of the wedding was looking around all the people from afar, and feeling the overwhelming energy and love that surrounded them. During the wedding itself, Garros’ dad stole the dance floor, giving their guests another thing to remember!
Monica and Garros were such a breeze to shoot. They were up for anything that we asked them to do. From silly fun poses with their bridal party to posing in front of buildings with the potential to be kicked out – they were just happy to be together! We feel so lucky to have met this down to earth couple, teaching us a thing or two about love.
