We feel it is so much more interesting to look at the photos when you know something about the couple, so we decided to share some things with you! We had to hide this blog post from you as we had to wait till it gets on stands! Ali and Nick’s wedding is featured in a current issue of Elegant Wedding Magazine Winter/Spring 2016, that you can still find on stands! Alessandra and Nick first became friends while working for the same Toronto advertising agency back in the fall of 2010. Their office dates and friendly chitchats soon developed and settled in to something deeper until they finally decided to tie the knot on August 2015.
One word is enough to describe Alessandra and Nick’s wedding celebration and it spells “classic”. From the moment we saw them in our studio to their momentous wedding day, we knew that their celebration would be an elegant and sophisticated one. Every little detail starting from the stunning bride’s hairdo to the vintage, white Bentley that pulled up in front of the church and from the live string duet to the white laced linens at the reception was like something that came out of the old movies and we absolutely loved everything. We have always loved taking photos of unique wedding ceremonies but there will always be something exceptional and special in traditional “I Do’s” that will surely make your hearts pour with joy.
Alessandra wore a dreamy, lace-strapped mermaid-style Galia Lahav wedding gown adorned with beads and intricate lacework. The long white dress was backless and perfectly designed to hug Alessandra’s curves which showed the whole of her upper back. Her hair was done in a classic high bun with her long veil attached just below the bun and her makeup simple yet appropriate. She finished her overall look with her pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos and matching colored purse which looked absolutely gorgeous.
Nick donned a simple black tuxedo with a matching bow tie. He wore his glasses which made him look extra awesome especially with his handsome quiff-styled hair which he totally rocked. While getting ready, Nick and his guy friends shared a toast and drank alcohol for a mini-celebration and (we prefer to think – to calm their excited nerves).
The live string duet of the violin and the cello marked the start of the once-in-a-lifetime ceremony which captured the senses of the guests. To add Alessandra and Nick’s personalities to the ceremony, a rendition of “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers was tuned in during the signing of the register. One by one the entourage waltzed down the aisle until that heart stopping moment when Alessandra entered the doors. Everybody forgot about the wonderful harmony of the strings as the guests were all enamored by the beauty and grace exuded by the bride.
It was inspiring to see the groom holding back his tears when he saw his bride walking towards him. We were lucky to have captured that very special moment. The ceremony was intimate and emotional as loving families, relatives and close friends shared teary-eyed glances for they were all very glad and smitten by the bride and groom. The ritual ended with loving kisses, joyous tears, standing ovations and affectionate embraces as the people were overjoyed and overwhelmed by the romance and passion overflowing from the newlyweds.
After the heartwarming marriage rites of the lovely duo, the guests were invited for a catered luncheon at the beautiful house of Alessandra’s parents while the newlyweds and the entourage grabbed the opportunity to have their photos taken by cool barn that we found on the property! The bridesmaids looked equally beautiful with their heart-shaped tube, floor-length gowns and white, hand-held blooms. Each and every one of them complimented Alessandra’s wonderful aura. The groomsmen were wickedly fetching in their black and white tuxedos with matching bowties while they were all smiles for the camera.
The “White Wedding” theme that Alessandra had in mind was a dream come true for her because everything was impeccable starting from the ceremony up to the reception. Bridal Solutions incredibly transformed the Eagles Nest Golf Club into a white grandiose reception venue which definitely made the bride satisfied and fulfilled. The hall was a sight to behold. The whiteness of the place looked surreal and unreal but was undeniably exquisite. Bridal Solutions dressed the table with white laced linens, decorated the club with delicate white trimmings from head to toe and lined the tables with lush white Louis chairs that added to the look of royalty of the table setting. Tall white urns carried fresh white blooms which were tastefully arranged and contained white dahlias, white spray roses, garden roses, white hydrangeas, white ranunculus, and white snowberries. The newlyweds had the time of their lives and will now start a new chapter together as husband and wife.
