Abby’s morning began in the stunning Graydon Hall Manor bridal suite, where her details came together in a rich and romantic palette of burgundy and sage green. Playing with her flat lay design was endlessly inspiring with layered textures, soft florals, and intentional styling made everything photograph beautifully. Her wedding dress was an elegant dream, and photographing it hanging from the mirror in the bridal suite was pure magic. One of our favourite moments of the morning was capturing Abby’s natural makeup look, it was timeless, glowing, and effortlessly her. She truly shined without trying, which always translates so beautifully on camera. Pete’s morning was nothing short of sophisticated. Capturing his portraits felt like photographing royalty, calm, intentional, and fully present in every moment of the day. His portraits honestly belong in an art gallery. One of the reasons we adore Graydon Hall Manor weddings is how versatile the groom’s suite is. It works perfectly with both natural window light and off-camera flash, allowing us to create editorial-style portraits with added drama. We’ll never pass up the chance to elevate a moment with intentional lighting.

Photography Tip:
Trust your photographer to mix natural light and flash. This combination adds depth, dimension, and a luxury feel to groom portraits.

Abby & Pete’s first look was an absolute joy to capture. You could see the love radiating between them the moment they locked eyes. Pete tried his best to hold it together… but we didn’t miss a single reaction. We flowed seamlessly into their portrait session, and if there’s one thing we learned from their engagement session at Dundurn Castle, it’s that these two love to laugh, smile, and truly enjoy the moment. Their portraits felt natural, joyful, and completely authentic to who they are as a couple.

Timeline Tip:
Planning a first look allows for a relaxed portrait session earlier in the day, giving you more time together and more time to enjoy cocktail hour later.

Also, Family photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed and Abby & Pete proved that beautifully. Their family session was full of candid, in-between moments that they’ll cherish forever. Laughter, hugs, and genuine emotion took center stage.

Photography Tip:
Let your family photos breathe. Some of the most meaningful images happen between poses, when everyone relaxes and simply enjoys being together.

It’s no secret that we love photographing Graydon Hall Manor weddings, but Abby & Pete’s ceremony décor truly stood out. Modern, colourful, and full of personality, the sage green and burgundy palette tied everything together seamlessly. We always adore capturing guests as they arrive, dressed to impress and full of anticipation. It’s their moment to shine as the excitement builds before the ceremony begins. If “elegant fun” had a definition, Abby & Pete’s cocktail hour would be it. Because we completed all portraits before the ceremony, they were able to fully enjoy cocktail hour with their guests, uninterrupted, relaxed, and present.

Why this matters:

  • You get genuine candid photos with guests

  • No rushing through portraits during golden hour

  • More time to soak in your wedding day

  • A smoother, stress-free timeline

As a Toronto wedding photographer, we always recommend building your timeline around enjoying your guests, it makes a world of difference. They began their reception with an unforgettable first dance outside in the gardens, while guests looked on from above. It was incredibly intimate and romantic. A private moment shared in the most beautiful way. Graydon Hall Manor is endlessly picturesque. No matter the angle whether it is speeches, candid reactions, beautifully plated food, or refined décor, everything feels elegant, curated, and timeless.

Another 2025 wedding day that we are so proud to be a part of. Abby & Pete’s Graydon Hall Manor wedding was filled with love, laughter, and intentional moments from start to finish.

Congratulations, Abby & Pete and thank you for trusting Purple Tree Photography, your Toronto wedding photographer, to capture one of the most meaningful days of your lives 🤍

Purple Tree approached us as people, not clients. Every staff member we interacted with had a genuine interest in us as a couple. In the early stages, I never felt like I was being given a sales pitch. They really were invested in how they could make our wedding the best for us, which was evidenced by pairing us up with our lead photographer. Over our time working with our photography, we felt like we had gained a friend. They offered us advice in all aspects of wedding planning, not just related to photography. Pete and I were quite shy about taking photos at the beginning, but they brought out the best in us. They never felt in our face with a camera, but set up every photo to give us room to be ourselves.
