Hi, my name is Evgueni and I’m a proud shooter and 1/3 of Purple Tree wedding studio.
In my early days I was fortunate enough to work with some of the best photographers in Toronto covering pretty much all genres out there: commercial, fashion, product, architecture, fine art, weddings, events. I have learned so much!! Each photographer had a different vision and a way of doing things. After some time, I came to a conclusion that there is no right or wrong, as long as you know what you are doing,
After all these years of taking pictures I came to a conclusion, that all these little things that happen to us every day, those little tiny moments of laughter, excitement, first kiss, running a marathon, falling from a tree on your fifteenth birthday, or having the most amazing chocolate ice-cream ever, they really make us who we are, define us and make us truly unique. Some of these moments are going to be forgotten, but they will definitely leave a trace.
I guess, what I’m trying to say is that photography can show you a lot of different new things about yourself, things you never knew or have forgotten. It’s amazing how people react to old pictures, some can’t even recognize themselves, or laugh at the hair style or pants they used to wear 10 or 20 years ago. Some like their pictures because they look good in them, others because of the character. I think the most challenging and awesome part of taking a good photograph is that it will tell a story, and at the same time it has to be a very warm, true and familiar feeling. When I shoot weddings, I know how important my pictures will be for years to come, not just for a sake of remembering the ceremony, but for that baby girl, who will be looking at her mommy’s dress picturing her own big day.
