Wedding celebrations create great moments and everything from the preparations and until the day you say your I-do’s become very special that you simply would like to make sure you can treasure it for many years. And that is why couples will tend to splurge with their creativity and give it all they’ve got to make even their wedding preps romantically memorable. And they should because it is this season in their life as a couple that doesn’t happen everyday. In fact, weddings aren’t generally called a once-in-a-lifetime event just for nothing. That is why we’re glad to have moments where clients can really surprise us with awesome ideas that makes us say – Why didn’t we think of that? And that was exactly what we told ourselves when Inna contacted us for a photo shoot.
Instead of the usual engagement session couples tend to have, our lovely bride decided to have their photos taken during the final fitting of her wedding dress. ‘White Toronto’ in the Yorkville area was where the bride was going to have her fitting. It’s a beautiful place to buy dresses and a great place to capture portraits because of its exquisite interiors and really nice lighting. It had that unexplainable ambience that felt like you’re in a fairy tale.
We took every opportunity to use every bit of elegant detail that we can find. The owners and staff are very friendly making everyone feel relaxed and we were free to use every inch of space in the store. Inna’s poses were stunningly beautiful. Her gown was well made and embellished with fashionable embroidery and lacy edges. She stood perfectly with her glamorous golden shoes that were quite obviously and uniquely gorgeous. Inna’s ring was also no exception. It was so beautiful we couldn’t help but take tons of photos of it each time we could. Everything from the interiors, the dress, to the smallest details and the way our bride moved about made it feel like we were talking photos of a princess in wonderland.
Ksenia from Affairy Events was a planner for this beautiful intimate event.
After the early morning fitting schedule with Inna’s close friends and mom, her fiancé, Tommy arrived and we had a chance to take the couple outside for a shooting spree. They both wore stylishly casual clothes that had a sort of grungy contrast compared to what we had in the dress store. It was awesome that Inna carried a bouquet of pink flowers as it added a special romantic soft touch amidst all the black and leather.
It was raining here and there and that gave us a bit more extra character to our afternoon shoot. The wet pavement added those nice glaring reflections and shadows you don’t get on an ordinary sunny day. Yorkville was already a beautiful area to take stunning photos and the rain just made our images look more cosy and intimate.
At every passing moment and after all the day’s work done with smiles on our faces, we just know the couple would love their photos once they see them. We’ve always been confident with our own creativity that it allows us to expect that we can create more stunning photos in the days to come. But after today, there’s been that lingering thought that makes us wonder when we will ever say – Why didn’t we think of that?
