We had a pleasure to spend the first day of September this year with Julia and Gene at their spectacular wedding. While we love funky and contemporary weddings, we’re blessed with an opportunity to shoot this traditional affair. Working with intricate colours, flowers and accessories made everyone involved feel like characters in a romantic fairytale or Harlequin Romance novel. And as soon as we saw Julia in the morning wearing her wedding gown, we knew we had our Cinderella bride too. It was one of those special days when everything goes surprisingly smooth – the weather and sunshine was perfect – even Toronto’s notoriously chaotic traffic seemed to ease for the occasion and the flower girl! She was as sweet and adorable as you can only imagine. We also loved the venue our couple had chosen for their ceremony and reception – the King Valley Golf Club – an adorable venue nestled in a secluded area just north of Toronto in King City. It’s a great space for events, with its classical interior, picturesque gardens and landscape, it helped set the mood for the wedding. A quick word about the lovely couple, Julia and Gene: they were a dream to work with! Laughing and smiling all day long they truly enjoying the experience and made us feel like family.
