One glance at the wedding venue was all it took, and we knew that we would be having a warm and laid-back wedding celebration ahead of us that day.
The bridal entourage prepared for Elly and Peter’s wedding wearing pastel blue pajamas while sharing a bottle of champagne and mouth-watering hors d’ oeuvres on the side. Talk about an early party, eh?
While they knew how to celebrate their special day with a blast, Elly and Peter opted for an intimate mid-afternoon union at the Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa and it truly did not disappoint. The overall design had a very sophisticated look, but they playfully spiced it up with a barnyard style of set-up. The sight of the bridal bouquet, which was a combination of white and red roses, was such a welcome relief, too!
Each piece in the set had a special touch of intimacy about it, but we especially loved the handmade paper cranes that hung carefully at the ceremony. Design-wise, their wedding had a clean, natural palette with a touch of rustic.
During the wedding itself – Peter looked dashing in his midnight blue tuxedo and well-done hair, while Elly had a vibrant, youthful glow in her that shone through. She looked graceful in a simple but elegant long, white dress. With all the bright hues in the wedding, we loved the minute detail of embroidered flowers at the tip of her veil, and the unique touch of red velvet heels that she wore as she walked down the aisle!
The venue was carefully designed to make the guests feel safe and nostalgic. From the vintage lamps to the raw wooden touches here and there, we truly felt like we were in another place, in another time. Wild plants were in the center of the tables, and small candles were lit to add some warmth as the night was unfolding. The couple’s wedding planner truly made sure that with all small details combined, the night will be as homey and welcoming as possible.
As the night closed in, Elly and Peter decided to slip into more comfortable outfits to entertain their beloved guests and to, well – simply have fun! It was a night of pure laughter, music, good people and good food – a true celebration of love.
