This couple’s story started off as a classic office romance. Yael was the intern that Andrew swooned over, and eventually made his way to her heart by helping her out with her duties.Nice guys definitely don’t finish last! Yael and Andrew are the type of people who still manage to look attractive when doing funny faces. In other words, they are effortlessly stunning. Together, they can make you fall in love with them, and more so, fall in love with the relationship they have!
When it comes to planning a wedding, people often have the saying “go big or go home” at the back of their minds. If you can manage to DIY some things (like Yael who designed the stationary herself), then there’s no problem with going big with other things like your venue! Well, you can’t get any bigger than Casa Loma! Casa Loma’s grand Neo-Gothic architecture transports its guests back in time to experience 19th century elegance. This landmark stands out for its historical façade found among the cityscape, and an event onsite will surely be outstanding to the lucky attendees.
The girls started their fun at Casa Loma’s bridal suite. Yael’s bridal party were all excited helping her get ready in their robes that appropriately labelled them as the “bride’s squad”. Yael slipped into her laced sweetheart corset bodice trumpet gown, which instantly transformed her into royalty. The side woven lace delicately outlined her silhouette, allowing the train of the dress to make her seem like she’s floating down the aisle with grace. Of course, it also helps that her shoes had wings! That’s right! These Sophia Webster butterfly sandals have wings mid-heels, taking your footwear fashion to the next level. Andrew on the other hand turned into a modern day prince in his condo, looking suave in his light blue tux. Him and his squad took the time to relax and hang out at the rooftop, enjoying the view of downtown Toronto before getting in a limo to arrive at the venue in style.
We could already tell from their first look that Casa Loma was the perfect backdrop for this modern fairy tale couple. The beauty of the venue did not outshine Yael and Andrew, but elevated the enchanting scene that was caused by them. The ceremony took place in the magical gardens that is not only decorated with blossoming botanicals, but also with fountains and sculptures. Though it was a typical hot summer’s day, the heat was quickly forgotten when mesmerized by the picturesque moment of Yael and Andrew exchanging their vows.
As if it can’t get any more captivating, the reception took place in Casa Loma’s Glass Pavilion, which offers the view of both the city and the castle. Another great reason to have a summer wedding! Though the space is fully enclosed, the outdoor feel does not get lost with all the natural light that comes in, and the hints of green, white and pink in the floral arrangements. The party really starts when the sun sets and the Pavilion glows along with the castle and the gardens. It’s the perfect way to get everyone in the party mood. Yael, Andrew, and their guests sure do know how to have fun! After hearing hilarious speech after speech poking fun of the couple’s love story, their smiles and laughter continued on to the dance floor. The live band Saturday Night Jive managed to get everyone on their feet to show off their moves. It’s hard not to party when there’s a great reason to celebrate! We had such a great time with this lovely couple, and we sincerely wish them all the best.
