Hello spring! With the sun finally deciding to come out of hibernation and the weather getting warmer, we thought we’d share this pop of spring styled shoot we were a part of with Wedluxe. Inspired by poppies in shades of peach, Rachel Clingen and Ashley Pigott Events really took the styling and design to another level!
Delicate, playful and pretty, poppies aren’t a usual wedding flower choice, but can be perfect for a bride looking for a unique look. By incorporating them on a large scale they have such an impact within the different installations and arrangements. The ceremony space is so lovingly pretty, with each poppy a single stem, the pop of colour a contrast to the white space. The variety of poppy installations around the space is absolutely beautiful, from the arrangements on top of the chaises to the beautiful bouquets and simple individual poppies dotted around. Rachel Clingen did an exquisite job designing and creating the assortment of florals, each portion perfectly complementing the next! The tones of orange, peach and pink make a beautiful colour scheme and are pulled through in the many different elements of the design. We especially love the coordinating ribbon and tags on the boutonnieres, a little detail that can make such an impression and is often overlooked!
And what perfectly synchronized stationery by Paper & Poste! Harmonizing with the poppy theme, the invitations, timelines and menus enhance the spring poppy theme. The laser-cut invite provides a solid colour tying everything together while still staying cohesive and modern. Not to mention the vellum envelopes and menu belly bands! Vellum is often used with such simplicity but by having the poppies illustrated here, they tie in the theme from beginning to end.
Every detail was covered for this creative shoot. A beautiful tablescape displaying rows of poppies with tangerines and mini kumquats dotted along, the plates, chargers and flatware, provided by Plate Occasions, tie in the light blue accent among the contrasting shades of orange. With gummy favours from Sugarfina, personalized lipsticks and yummy food from Daniel et Daniel, each little touch enhances the overall design. The bar itself even matched the stationery and décor, thanks to Event Graffiti! We especially love the one-of-a-kind cake by Nadia & Co. Matching the poppy theme, yet keeping the simplicity of the design, it is a stunning finale to the flawless production. Bringing it all together with our beautiful models, having the bride and bridesmaids all in white dresses emphasizes the florals even more!
A refreshing blend of colours to get us excited for the spring weather ahead, this creative shoot really shows how impactful one type of flower and the different shades of a colour can really be. We’re so pleased to have been a part of this incredible team!
