Pretty pink pastels, a fashionable couple and a day full of laughter, Genevieve and Patrick’s wedding combined small town charm with romantic summer elegance. With Patrick being a prominent Canadian politician, we were so honoured that he and Genevieve would trust us with their most special day.
Planned and designed by the bride herself, every aspect of their wedding was executed to fit her vision, bringing the pink hues through in each detail, from the stationery and flowers to her jewellery and Jimmy Choo’s!
Genevieve wore a gorgeous custom Valencienne gown with an intricately detailed and totally beautiful bodice. Matching the aesthetic of the day, the detailing is also tied through her vintage lace bridal robe. Of course, we also love a stylish groom! In his patterned navy blue blazer and matching bowtie, Patrick’s outfit was just as expertly coordinated as Genevieve’s. Calm, cool and collected, you could tell that Patrick was brimming with excitement inside on the big day.
Who doesn’t love coordinated ring bearers? In matching pink suspenders and bowties, the young boys in their families were true showstoppers and absolutely adorable!
The couple’s ceremony took place at The Doctor’s House, an adorable, bright space, adding small town charm to their day. The cheerful shades of pink popped against the white space, and were second only to the cheerful smiles of the bridal party and their guests. Everyone was so excited when Genevieve walked down the aisle with her dad looking drop dead gorgeous! Accompanied by a string quartet, the quaint elegance melded perfectly and created such a loving and supportive familial atmosphere. Incorporating their guests within the ceremony, it was truly touching.
You know you’ve got a laid back bride when she takes a swig of celebratory champagne directly from the bottle right after the I Do’s! We knew from here that we were in for a fun night. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen were also full of energy during the bridal party portraits, getting the party started.
They held their reception at Arlington Estate, which was the perfect location for their celebration, with such classy backgrounds to photograph against.
Inside the reception, blush hues were everywhere! Tastefully executed, the combination of blush pinks, whites and rose golds was picture-perfect. Genevieve poured her heart into this day and you can tell! The cake brought together elements of her dress and bouquet and the sweets table, filled with pink donuts, macarons and cannoli, was to die for! With a prosciutto and parmesan bar, fresh pulled mozzarella and ice buckets full of bottles of Prosecco, the Italian flair was mouthwatering!
