Like their proposal 30 stories above the city while being serenaded by an acoustic version of “XO” by John Mayer, the atmosphere of Julian and Antonette’s wedding was magically romantic from beginning to end.
Antonette looked absolutely stunning in her Pronovias wedding gown. The classic simplicity is defined by the understated lace patterning of her dress. A true refined beauty, she was calm when getting ready, so excited to see Julian as she walked down the aisle! Incorporating a family locket tied around her bouquet, we love when brides add memorable keepsake details that are special to her and her family.
Having a traditional ceremony at St. David’s Parish, the daylight streaming in through the skylights was in keeping with the airy feel of their day. Julian looked sharp in his tux as he waited for Antonette to walk towards him. Seeing each other for the first time during their ceremony was so special, their friends and family all able to witness. The lightness of the venue only helped us capture such a heartfelt ceremony, everyone had a smile on their face!
After the ceremony, Kortright Centre was the perfect backdrop for some intimate moments on their own, the trees never fail to make for some beautiful shots, all perfectly lined up. The golf course at Eagles Nest also made some truly epic photos! Surrounded by the saturated greens of the course, the bridal party really pops and makes for some fun and candid moments!
Antonette was stunned when she entered the reception space. Blending contemporary elegance with classic elements to “create a reception design that was straight out of a fairytale”, the round tables had tall, oversized white and cream florals with plenty of greenery while the gallery tables were decorated with incredible lucite candelabras and a mixture of high and low arrangements. And can we talk about their grand sweetheart table? Raised above the space, their intimate table was framed by a beautiful structure and floral installation hanging from above with floral and foliage arrangements as decorative accents. Elegant black and white stationery with calligraphy for their menus, place cards and seating chart, tied the design all together.
A couple after our own hearts, cake tasting was Antonette and Julian’s favourite part of the planning (and we can’t blame them)! Not able to pick their favourite flavour, the cake consisted of three flavours: earl grey with vanilla bean cream and lemon curd, white vanilla bean with champagne ganache and strawberries, and chocolate with salted caramel cream and honeycomb. You can’t go wrong with those choices! Their cake was simple and elegant, mirroring the lace of Antonette’s dress and accented with warm peach-toned sugar flowers.
With interactive speeches by the groomsmen, heartfelt words from the maid of honour and sentimental messages from the bride and groom this wedding was so magical and romantic. Ending the night with fireworks illuminating the sky, this was the perfect sendoff before they jetted off to France and Italy for their honeymoon!
