Royal Conservatory of Music Wedding
Olessia and Anton’s Wedding at the Royal Conservatory of Music
We met Olessia a couple of years ago as the maid of honour of a previous Purple Tree bride. It was no surprise that when she came in our studio with Anton, we instantly had a connection!
Olessia and Anton are adventurous and fun, ready to do anything together! One stolen glance at each other and they can’t help but smile. They take every opportunity to make each other laugh, showing their goofy side just to make it happen. It takes a while to get this vibe out of couples, but it came naturally with them! Of course it helped that we did an engagement shoot with them at the Scarborough Bluffs. No doubt they’re charming on their own, but thanks to some practice, they were so comfortable being themselves in front of us.
Let’s talk about this bride’s style. Olessia was truly a modern princess with her gown. The skirt of the dress had delicate layers, which created an overall romantic silhouette. The veil added to the dramatic look as it cascaded down softly. You can only imagine how Anton reacted when she first laid eyes on his bride!
The first look took place at the groom’s location: his parents’ backyard! They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest for this special moment. The bridesmaids were there cheering on by throwing petals in the air as Anton turned to Olessia. Although the first look is to get a reaction from the groom, we absolutely love Olessia’s priceless facial expression! We don’t usually spend so much time talking about the first look, but we felt like theirs was so unique.
Since the wedding ceremony and reception were going to take place at the Royal Conservatory of Music, we wanted an outdoor location nearby to shoot the portraits. We got the whole bridal party in front of the Royal Ontario Museum for their photos. The modern architecture of the building matched the whole timeless yet contemporary elegance of the wedding. Before heading to the venue, we spent time with the couple around the University of Toronto campus for their portraits.
We love how Rachel A. Clingen transformed the Royal Conservatory of Music with flowers. The colour palette consisting of delicate neutrals and touches of pink was enough to pop out of the contemporary setting. Following the same palette, Nadia & Co. was successful at getting our eyes dancing and mouths watering with the sweets table. We may or may not have spent a lot of time beside it. As if the fun energy of the couple wasn’t enough to get everyone up on their feet, Party Crew Entertainment made sure the celebration went on until the next day!
It was such a blast being part of Olessia and Anton’s wedding! We hope that married life brings the best adventures for them!
