Soft and refined, Meryl and Jamie’s wedding inspiration was an “elegant garden with rustic accents”. Beautifully airy and bright, it was perfect for a cool November wedding.
Meryl looked effortlessly beautiful in her lace Ines di Santo gown. Perfectly accented by Meryl’s rose-gold jewellery, heels and pearl clutch, her dress was simple and delicate, complementing the style of their wedding. How cute are the reactions of her bridesmaids for her reveal? Waiting to turn around must have been so suspenseful!
Counting down the seconds to see Meryl, Jamie looked dashing in his custom two-tone three-piece suit. “Seeing Jamie for the first time at the reveal” was Meryl’s favourite part of the day and we can see why! After seeing each other, their family and friends were there to be a part of it! We find this so lovely and inclusive and makes for such special memories. The bridesmaids were dressed in mismatched outfits, some with accents of lace tying into Meryl’s dress, really showing the diversity of her girls. The simple elegance of them being in black with a single-stemmed white rose is so impactful, especially when everyone is standing together. This minimalist design really highlights the flowers among the black and is incredibly beautiful!
The Four Seasons definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to bride and groom portraits! The bright, airy spaces offer the perfect backdrop for intimate wedding portraits and work so well for modern, elegant backdrops. Meryl and Jamie’s relationship and cute little quirks take centre stage in these photos and we were so happy to be able to capture their love and affection before their “I do’s”.
Their chuppah was beautifully decorated by Jackie O Flowers, giving an elegant garden feel to the space. The perfect focal point to their simple, modern wedding style, Meryl was the picture of grace walking down the aisle to meet Jamie. With a cover of Jack Johnson’s Better Together by Us the Duo playing, Jamie couldn’t have looked happier to see her coming towards him. Meryl was “nervous before walking down the aisle but when I stood at the back of the room I took a moment to take a breath and take it all in [and] it really helped!”.
This seating chart is one to remember (by us and all of the guests!) showcasing polaroid photos of each guest at the wedding. “We wanted to do something different that was personalized to all our friends and family.” Bringing the garden feel together with white florals and greenery with the dusty blue walls with gold shelves and lanterns, “it was a dream come true!”.
The rustic floral theme of the wedding was pulled through in the reception décor with tones of blue throughout the stationary and table linens and the many bronze lanterns lit up with candles. These bronze accents also tied in the tonality of the personal challahs! Even the place settings were colour-coordinated with blue chargers and gold cutlery provided by Event Rental Group. Their three (yes three!) E&R Sweetery cakes complemented the theme in the same dusty blue colour, accented with white florals, two in a funfetti flavour and one in chocolate & banana. No detail was forgotten thanks to Ashley Lindzon!
Ending the day with a lively hora filled with confetti and bringing all of their guests together, they danced the night away to the amazing talents of The Magen Boys (some with a slice of Maker Pizza in their hands!). Meryl and Jamie’s advice to other couples on their wedding day? “Make sure to spend time together on your wedding night. Jamie and I made a point to spend as much time together as possible that night and we had the best night of our life!”
Can’t argue with that! We absolutely love the style, fun and tenderness in this wedding and how they brought the feel of an airy elegant garden to a crisp November day.
