Anya & Michael’s Arlington Estate Wedding
Toronto’s wedding planner, Anya of La Chic Soiree decided to tackle on a personal project – designing and planning her own wedding!
Yes, you read that right! Aside from being the bride of the day with all the stress that came with it, Anya took it upon herself to execute all the plans she visualized for the most special day of their lives as a couple. She pulled it off so carefully and flawlessly while perfecting the weddings of her own clients – something that is to be truly admired about her.
With touches of gold, crystals and peaches; in stark contrast with the blackness of the bridal entourage, Anya and Michael’s wedding lived up to the image of classic sophistication. We especially loved Michael’s 007 cufflinks that worked in perfect harmony with the look of the whole wedding entourage. Their all-black gowns and tuxedos was an impression to last their guests!
One of our favorites from the wedding was their rose gold chuppah, that was intricately designed with flowers and vines all over. Anya’s whole set design was inspired by elegant luxury, as can be seen with really minute details like the numbers on the reception table. It was reminiscent of the Chanel no. 5 perfume design! Her team was successful in transforming The Arlington Estate to look like a modern castle, accentuated by the brightest chandeliers that hung from the ceiling.
We can see how hands-on Anya was for this wedding. The bridal bouquet looked very refreshing, made of an all-white flower ensemble that draped in the front like waterfalls from her hands. The wedding cake had a marble design with gold flakes incorporated on it— truly only the finest for the designer bride! To top it all off, their reception tables also had their own respective mini chuppahs, perfectly alike with the one the couple was wed under.
If you have an eye for design, it’s always good to be hands-on with your wedding preparations! And if you’re planning to do the design on your own like Anya did, then you better start taking notes from this wedding!
