There’s no denying that this couple has style. Katie, with her classic and contemporary feel, and Sean, with his dapper black bowtie, this couple brought a playful elegance to their special day.
The day started with their iconic first look outside P.J. O’Brien’s Irish pub. Who doesn’t love a colourful mural backdrop let alone one with such impact? The contrasting yellow with Katie’s gorgeous Ines di Santo gown and Sean’s timeless Made Clothing suit with their matching bride & groom balloons made for some impactful first look photos. The variety of sophisticated backdrops around the venue offered some beautiful portraits of the two of them as well as some classy bridal party photos!
Having their ceremony at the Omni King Edward Hotel, the space was dressed for elegance, with beautiful white and light pink florals by Rachel A. Clingen. The goal was to have the space timeless and chic and through the tasteful floral arch, arrangements and classic chairs, this was translated beautifully. The bridesmaids were dressed in refined black off-the-shoulder gowns, with the groomsmen in dashing black suits.
The ceremony was natural, light-hearted and truly real. You can see the affection and joy between them and the truly authentic emotions of Katie and Sean throughout the entire ceremony. Love and laughter was a constant. Their friends and family couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces!
The reception décor pulled accents of gold and warm white from the incredible King Edward space complementing the intricate architectural ceiling. Working with the colours and details of the hotel, the wedding style fit perfectly, like it was meant to be! The addition of gold and black charger plates, provided by Have A Seat, brought in an urban flair (they complement their first look photos!), tying together Katie and Sean’s classic & contemporary style.
The cake by Ania Bialecki only further enhanced the décor with modern accents of gold and matching light pink sugar flowers. They almost look like they were pulled straight from one of the bouquets! Their stationary suite by Primarily Paper truly provided a sneak peek of the style to come focusing on simplicity with classic fonts and a contemporary black and gold frame.
After the heartfelt congratulatory speeches and plenty of spinning napkins, guests were entertained by the music of Lady Kane. A selection of sweets from the donut wall, baked goods and gelato carts were there to keep them dancing all night!
We loved the warmth and love coming from not only the bride and groom and their families but all of the guests that were there to celebrate with them. Their timeless modern meets classic wedding truly embodied the contemporary and elegant personalities of Katie and Sean.
