Yorkville Toronto Engagement

Capturing the tenderness and chemistry of Jay and Mara was a privilege. This couple was such a breeze to work with – they are stylish, charming and genuine.  What else can we say! Yorkville is definitely the Toronto neighbourhood that suits their story.

For this shoot, Mara decided to wear a beautiful full-length silver dress, which went perfectly with her wavy hair and beige peep-toe platforms – to soften the elements of her look. Jay, on the other hand, looked dashing in a classic tuxedo minus the bow, with his hair carefully swept up and kept in place. They later on changed into very casual outfits, sporting matching white sneakers.

From drinking a bottle of champagne to sharing pastries to trying on shoes at the store – we went everywhere with these two! They somehow made everyday things look so good and fun. This made the whole shoot much lighter and enjoyable, as they also did not hesitate to share their sweet moments with us as we walked along the Yorkville neighbourhood in Toronto.

Our goal is to make you feel comfortable with us, but Mara and Jay actually made us feel comfortable with them too! Needless to say, it was quick for us to share stories and laughs along the way. This instant connection from this shoot got us so excited to shoot their wedding recently at the Crystal Ballroom, King Edward Hotel. Stay tuned for that!
