It’s always a good idea to have two different outfits planned out to show the two personas you have as a couple. Don’t try to put on a different style, we want to capture authenticity!
For their first outfit, Ally wore a simple black off-shoulder dress while holding a bouquet of sunflowers in her hands while Sagi opted for a classic black button down shirt and jeans. We love shooting at the Novotel especially in the summer when they have hanging flowers on the pillars. It’s also another location with a covered area that comes in handy when it’s too sunny or raining outside.
We walked to the Harbourfront for their second look, which was more casual than the first. It also featured their beloved dog! This part was more of a peak of their everyday life as a couple – going on walks with their dog and strolling along the lake. It was a moment full of simplicity and happiness in the everyday things captured in real time.
We encourage the couples to be as natural as possible in their engagement shoots and tell their story. This is key to a really successful engagement shoot. The authenticity in each relationship is what sets every shoot apart. On top of this, we also suggest to our future couples to choose locations that have a place close to their hearts! As important as outfits and locations can be, choosing a season also affects the overall narrative.
