Wedding shoots that are inspired by classic artists are always fun-filled, exciting and dreamy. This themed romantic wedding photoshoot was made into a reality by an incredible team of professional photographers, superb wedding organizers and creative designers. In this particular photoshoot, the exceptional team was inspired by a unique and beautiful mixture of Gustav Klimt’s art, and romantic, feel good perfume advertisements. The two ideas perfectly blend together which ended in a very successful styled and themed photoshoot.

Purple Tree Photography captured the eclectic and bewitching wedding set up which was an inventive collaborative work of the creative geniuses of Affairy Events and Caprice Design & Decor. From the words of the event designer, Ksenia of Affairy Events, “We produced this styled shoot with a great team of vendors in Toronto in the summer. We were inspired by perfume ads, different scents and personalities of women and Gustav Klimt. So you will see there are different shades of pink, burgundy, and a bit of blue and gold that were used in the shoot.”

The Spadina Museum, one of the City of Toronto’s Historic Sites, is a sprawling manor which prides itself with a heritage demonstrating the domestic life from the years 1920s and 1930s. This rich mansion houses original furniture all over and prized artwork that belonged to the famous Austin family. The expansive and lush Victorian-Edwardian gardens of the Spadina Museum was the perfect venue for the wedding photoshoot because of the impeccable balance of culture, history and heritage. It was totally classic and we totally loved it!

The pretty model wore a stunning bridal gown by Hayley Paige which was a heart-shaped tube adorned with intricate beadwork. The soft layers of fabric which gently cascaded just below her waist to the floor made the dress look more elegant and classy especially when the gown was partnered with a silver pair of bejeweled, to kill for high heels. The model’s hair and makeup, done by Fancy Face Inc. looked effortlessly eye-catching. Her hairdo was up in a sophistically-created messy bun with strands of hair falling from the sides of her ears and her nape. The makeup artist opted for a natural look with very minimal color – only a light shadow for the lids and the waterline, heavy lashes and finished with a nude lipstick.

The dashing groom sported a classic tuxedo in a shade of blue, and a bowtie with the same color and material as the tuxedo. The ensemble was accented with a couple of fresh flowers craftily made to look striking. The dark and light colors of the wedding attires of both models created a wonderful contrast which perfectly blended with the rustic background of the Spadina Mansion.

The ingenious table and chair set up was fashioned to look like a dreamy garden wedding. The gold and powder blue cutlery, China and glassware from the wedding vendor William Ashely were adorably set upon the antique-looking tables and chairs from Anne & Co. A wedding will not be festive and merry without a sumptuous feast. Beretta Kitchen catered to the themed photoshoot and made our mouths water even just by looking at the artistic presentation of the platters. The wedding cake from Nadia & Co. was one-of-a-kind with its five-layer of flowery, and erudite style.

The stationery crafted by Ferris Wheel Press were simple, yet inspired. The imaginative play of colors especially for the blooms and florals accentuated the already spectacular venue. The sceneries looked surreal and we adored every bit of it!

The shoot was a resounding success and everybody had smiles on their faces after finishing a romantic wedding set up at the historic and breathtaking Spadina Museum. The efforts of all the people and who collaborated paid off for the styled photoshoot was a mission accomplished.
